Was this area part of the football preliminaries for the 1952 Summer Olympics since it is close to the Helsinki Olympic Stadium? The map looks like the venue closest to the Olympic Stadium. Chris (talk) 13:26, 2 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The area was, but it's still not valid to claim that this stadium has replaced the former football stadium. In the main picture for the article, you can see a patch of natural grass directly to the south of Bolt. That is the still-active, although much changed, arena for five games in the 1952 Olympic tournament. 82.181.108.45 (talk) 00:48, 5 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Name[edit]

the stadium should really be called Töölö football stadium in English. No reason to use sponsor names that change every two years in an encyclopedia. The Helsingin Sanomat newspaper uses "Töölön jalkapallostadion" (the Finnish equivalent) and so does Yle (the National broadcast). 2001:14BB:AB:2DCB:0:0:3D00:4701 (talk) 13:41, 20 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
